Diaverum is delighted to be able to expand its home dialysis service for patients in Hamburg with an additional mobile device.
Hamburg, 14.12.2023. From now on, patients in Hamburg can choose an innovative compact device in addition to peritoneal dialysis (PD) and classic home haemodialysis with a conventional centre machine. The Physidia S3 Monitor offers the option of haemodialysis with a mobile device at home or on the move.
Which procedure with which system is best suited to the patient is decided by the treating team together with the patient after a detailed consultation. In addition to the medical aspects, the patient's living situation and lifestyle also play a role here.
As with classic home haemodialysis, B.Braun is also Diaverum's service partner for the mobile compact unit. In cooperation with B.Braun, the first patient training sessions on the Physidia S3 monitor are starting in the Hamburg centres these days. In future, the training sessions will be conducted by the Hamburg home dialysis team.
Dr Michael A. Rösch, Medical Director of the Diaverum centres in Hamburg, emphasises: "We are delighted to be able to provide our patients with the full range of home dialysis procedures - and are so far the only ones in northern Germany who can offer this mobile procedure."
