ABOUT THE CLINIC
Our experienced clinic team welcomes you to Diaverum Arles. The fragrance of lavender, azure blue sea and charming villages - that is the South of France. The region between the Rhone Valley and the French Riviera is not without reason a popular holiday destination.
In our clinic we offer excellent medical service as well as a warm and friendly atmosphere to revitalize our patients both physically and emotionally.
Diaverum Arles was inaugurated in 2001. On March 16th, 2015 the clinic was moved to Arles’ Hospital Centre. Today it features 28 dialysis reclining chairs. All stations are equipped with TV screens and free Wi-Fi. As an integral part of our services we offer a patient education program as well as support by a social assistant, dieticians and psychologists. Cultivating a family atmosphere we celebrate several events together in our clinic.
Visit the South of France
The Provence with its bright lavender fields and rolling green hills invites visitors to relax and to take a break from everyday life. Enjoy the relaxed southern lifestyle and lose your thoughts about the daily challenges of dialysis! In the North, the Provence is impressive for the majestic alpine foothills and the Rhone Valley. Due to its various valleys, canyons and mountain ranges it is a paradise for hikers, walkers and nature lovers. In contrast, the French Riviera in the south is famous for its beaches and legendary places such as Saint Tropez, Cannes, Marseille and Monaco. Stroll along the boardwalks of these cities, and spoil yourself in the sun!
Still, the South of France offers even more: westwards you can visit the UNESCO World Heritage City of Arles. The Roman city fascinates visitors with its remarkable architecture and French charm. Situated in the north of the Camargue, Arles is also an ideal starting point for excursions to this region with its lakes, olive groves and white horses.
As we run dialysis centers in Marseille, Arles, Draguignan, Salon-de-Provence, and Marignane, the South of France is also a perfect region for a holiday trip with various stops.

Useful Information
Bring what you need for your care and comfort.
Please do not cover your access with clothing or blankets during your treatment. It is important for us to be able to reach your dialysis access (fistula, graft or line) easily, so if you have a fistula in your arm, we suggest that you wear clothes with loose fitting sleeves.
We do recommend that you bring a mobile device or something to help pass the time. Dialysis can make you more susceptible to feeling cold, so you might want to wear warm clothes. Many people prefer to bring a small blanket to feel more comfortable.
Most patients pass the time during dialysis in activities such as reading, writing, sleeping, knitting, listening to music, watching TV or just chatting. All our dialysis centres have televisions, free Wi-Fi for use with a mobile device, and please ask the staff for details. Please bring headphones so that you do not disturb other patients.
It is as important for dialysis patients to take a holiday as it is for anyone else, and provided you give enough notice and are flexible enough, there is no reason why you should not be able to do this. Arrangements for you to have haemodialysis at another unit may be made within this country or abroad. Please talk to your Consultant or Nurse at least two months before you plan to travel and before making any plans. This is so we can make sure that you are fit enough to travel as well as to give us enough time to help you arrange your holiday dialysis. COVID-19 restrictions and the Foreign Office guidance apply.
