In order to further optimize the treatment of our patients, we are pleased to be able to offer home haemodialysis as an additional home procedure within the framework of a structured training program.

To this end, we have entered into a partnership with the B. Braun company, which has developed a comprehensive service for converting patients to home haemodialysis. The B. Braun DAHEIM service supports us in all non-medical process steps during the conversion and subsequent care at home.

The test phase and training of the first patient has already begun at the Hamburg Schlankreye clinic, and further patients are currently being consulted.

Scope and procedure of the service

After medically suitable patients have been approached by us and have shown interest, the DAHEIM team explains the process to the patient and inspects the home conditions.

If all requirements are met and the patient agrees, training can begin. The training lasts approximately 3 weeks (9 dialysis sessions).

During the training phase, the DAHEIM team rebuilds everything in the home environment and installs all the equipment, in accordance with the applicable standards. Maintenance, home visits, a 24/7 service hotline and water testing are also part of the service. The HHD site is networked so that therapy protocols are provided to us digitally via the DAHEIM service portal.

Patients can use an iPad provided by DAHEIM Service to conveniently order their supplies, view educational content and contact DAHEIM Service. Medical care for patients is provided by us.

Together, we hope to identify many suitable patients so that, with the existing team and our partner B. Braun DAHEIM, we can offer a broader range of care, and thus the most suitable procedure for each patient.
